In this project we will be tasked to create a unique interactive story. We began class by having a introduction to the brief.
Apollo 8 was the first mission to send people around the Moon. It launched on December 21, 1968, with three astronauts Frank Borman, James Lovell, and William Anders. They circled the Moon ten times, took photos, and sent a special Christmas message to Earth. The mission proved that we could get to the Moon and back safely. This prepared us for future trips to the Moon. Apollo 8's success was a big step in exploring space, leading to the first moon landing by Apollo 11 in 1969.
What is immersive prototyping?
Immersive prototyping is a way to design where a model is made to show how users might use a product or service in a real life situation. It uses things like virtual reality or augmented reality to make experiences that feel real. This lets designers and people involved see how users might behave, respond, and feel in a controlled, but realistic place. This method can help spot problems and chances for better design early on, making the final product better.
What is a immersive website?
An immersive website is a site made to fully involve users with interactive and rich multimedia content. It uses things like full-screen video, virtual reality, interactive images, and lively scrolling to catch attention. The aim is to keep users interested and emotionally connected, often mixing digital and real-world experiences. Immersive websites are great for telling stories, marketing, and education where keeping users engaged is important.
Based off this research I will look at each individual colour palette and art direction. This will inspire me later in my design process and give me a idea what colours are used in sci-fi/space.
