The UK healthcare system has many strengths but also problems that affect patients and healthcare workers.

In this blog, I want to highlight these problems and discuss possible solutions. I want to promote changes that put patient well being first and make healthcare delivery more efficient.

Based on my past research, I'm exploring the top health issues in the UK. By looking into these areas, I can understand the problems better and find new solutions.

Colorectal Cancer

Recent studies have shown an alarming increase in colorectal cancer rates among younger people. This article aims to educate Millennials and Gen Z about the risk factors, symptoms, and preventive measures associated with colorectal cancer.

Colorectal Cancer: What Millennials and Gen Zers Need to Know

Why more young people are getting colorectal cancer isn't clear. Things like not moving much, being overweight, smoking, drinking a lot of alcohol, and eating badly can all lead to this cancer. Other things in our surroundings might also be involved. Furthermore, people whose families have had this cancer or polyps, or who have inflammatory bowel disease, are more likely to get it. This shows how crucial it is to know these risk factors and to do something about preventing and catching this cancer early.

My Own Experience

Recently I've been dealing with stomach problems that worry me. To figure out what's going on, I've decided to stop eating fast food that has preservatives added to it. I believe this might help me feel better by avoiding things that could be making my stomach issues worse. It's important for me to take care of my health by making smart choices about what I eat. This experience has shown me how food can affect how we feel, and it reminds me to be mindful of what I put into my body.

Yuka App

I downloaded this app to help me monitor what food is good or bad. The app is called Yuka and it has changed my lifestyle and gave me inspiration during my research.

What it does?

The Yuka app is an aid for buying healthier food and care items. It scans product barcodes and shares details about the product's ingredients, nutrition, and possible health risks. Yuka gives a score to each product based on its quality and suggests healthier options. This helps users choose better products for their health.

First Idea- Dietary App for Patients

This idea is a nutritional dietary app designed for hospital patients. It offers personalised meal plans, meal ordering capabilities, nutritional tracking, allergy alerts, educational resources, and feedback mechanisms. The app promotes patient satisfaction, enhances nutritional care, and fosters dietary awareness, empowering patients to make healthier choices and manage their dietary intake effectively during their hospital stay and beyond.

Why it won’t work?
