For this part of my project I began gathering a folder of images from websites and other resources. Each image has to be altered to fit the overall style of my Apollo 11 project therefore this was quite a time consuming but I feel it is crucial as it will fine tune the overall appearance.
I began my design by using Adobe Stock to find ripped paper textures. These textures were the key part of my design. Once I picked the best textures, I used Photoshop to start designing. In Photoshop, I changed colours and shadows to make the textures look unique and attractive giving the image depth.

Here is an example of one of the textures I found. Using this as a layer behind the image and then experimenting with the opacity and overlays give the image a vintage colour and texture, roughness which I quite liked.

I found a unique image on eBay that I couldn't find anywhere else. I saved it and decided to fix a small problem with it using Photoshop. The problem was that part of the "moon" in the picture was cut off.
I used Photoshop's AI tool to try and fix this. It was my first time using AI for something like this. It was a bit hard and took a few tries, but I finally got it right. The AI tool did a great job and it made me believe even more in how helpful technology can be for creative work.

Some images were quite difficult to find for example this Buzz Aldrin badge. The quality of the image was quite bad so I had to enhance it in photoshop and cut around the background.
