I experimented with a wide range of styles to explore how the app could feel. I tested more bold, modern fonts and sharper branding options, but they started to feel too clinical for something as personal as memories. I also tried more decorative, handwritten styles to push the scrapbook vibe but they reduced readability and didn’t feel as clean in a modern interface.

I chose Nunito as the main typeface for Memori because it feels friendly, calm and easy to read. Its rounded shapes give the interface a softer more human tone. Nunito also stays clean and modern across headings, buttons and body text, helping the app feel simple and accessible without losing warmth.

The name Memori comes from the idea of memory and remembering, but with a softer, more personal feel than a literal name. It’s short, memorable and gentle which matches the purpose of the project. I want users to feel safe like they did as a child when they interact with their memory box and revisit meaningful moments.
