Why the forget-me-not flower fits my brand

I wanted to give Memori a symbol that means something rather than just choosing a random design because it looks nice. The forget-me-not flower felt like the right fit because it is small, soft, and directly linked to remembrance.

The app is not just about storing items, it is about keeping the meaning and memories behind them.

The colour matters

Forget-me-nots are usually a soft sky blue, which feels calm and gentle. That colour suits the tone I want for the app because it suggests:

I do not want Memori to feel loud or flashy. I want it to feel calm, personal, and emotionally safe.

How I would translate it into the app

I do not want Memori to look like a flower app, because that is not the point. I want the design to feel modern and clean, but still have warmth behind it.

The forget-me-not influence would come through in subtle ways, such as soft colours, rounded shapes, gentle illustrations, and small emotional details.

Creating the character

This character would be used in the mood area, where the user chooses how they feel about the item connected to the memory.

At first, I experimented with a simple flat colour style and a very minimal design. I then moved into a textured gradient style, as it felt warmer and showed more emotion.

After that, I started testing different eye shapes to make the character feel more expressive. I created one of the eye shapes from a half-circle, which helped give the character a softer and more emotional look.
