For this project we were given the task to create a fully functioning web essay using HTML or framer. I have decided to use Framer as I found it easier to learn than HTML as we had a limited time scale.

I chose Jessica Hische as i fell in love with her colour palette, cute illustrations and calligraphy.
Jessica Hische is a lettering artist, graphic designer and illustrator. She began her years as a Graphic Design and interactive design student at Tyler School of Art. She then worked at Headcase Design before becoming Senior Designer. She soon got bored of working in a corporate company and ventured out as a freelancer in 2009.

She created a project called Daily Drop Cap which she designed a illustrative letter each day. It became very popular and inspired many designers to start creating daily design on social media.
Her work is known to use bright colours that shouldn't traditionally work together. such as pink and green. Her lettering is the most impressive in my opinion and she usually starts sketching on the app Procreate.
For my web essay I started out researching about Jessica, There is limited information about her so I had to use her own website as a form of research which was quite difficult. From using HTML in this semester I knew it was too complicated for me. I needed to reach the deadline on time therefore I decided to use the application Framer.

Kyle give us a challenge in class we had to draw out eight rectangles and we had one minute on each to create a web layout. This was very hard for me as Im a perfectionist and i found it painful to be so messy but it shows how quickly we can create ideas in our brains. The aim of this exercise was to give us inspiration for when we start designing our own web essays.
Out of the eight layouts i sketched the last one would be my influence.
