The Aftermath

I had previously had a design task interview with a UX company pier to this presentation which was 15 minutes long. Therefore when It came to the day of my pitch I wasn’t as nervous. If I could do that in front of strangers that I had never met before then I can get through this. Having some confidence was beneficial. During the pitch I feel I could’ve spoke better but I feel I did a good job overall as I didn’t stumble. I know I am not that great at public speaking therefore I try not to compare myself with others and try my best as I struggle with words and get things mixed up at times. Speaking slowly and not reading from notes helped tremendously. I was worried If I had notes my head would be stuck in the notes the whole time. This is the reason I set my presentation up the way I have as I knew it would be easier for me to present this way.

Overall the feedback was good and relatable. One issue Daniel brought up was how can be make sure the app isn’t getting into the wrong peoples hands. This was a hard question as I have thought about it during the development of my pitch idea but I feel I answered it reasonably. I said we cannot safe guard the app but it may be possible to register a user to become a rescuer or somehow make the user to a well fair check before using the the rescuing area of the app.
