In this weeks class we looked at how illustration can be changed from paper to digital using photocopying and tablets.

Photocopying

Photocopying, or the process of making a duplicate or copy of an image or document using a photocopier machine, can be used in design in a number of ways. Here are a few examples:

• Creating mockups: Photocopying can be a quick and inexpensive way to create mockups of designs. For example, you could photocopy a rough sketch of a logo or layout, and then make adjustments to the photocopy until you're happy with the final design.
• Generating textures: Photocopying can also be used to create interesting textures for use in designs. For example, you could photocopy a piece of fabric or a textured surface, and then scan the photocopy into your computer to use as a background or overlay in your design.
• Incorporating found objects: If you have a physical object that you want to incorporate into your design, but you can't or don't want to scan or photograph it, you could try photocopying it instead. For example, if you have a leaf that you want to use as part of a design, you could place it on the photocopier and make copies of it at different sizes and angles.
• Creating collages: Photocopying can also be used to create collages or other mixed media pieces. You could photocopy a variety of images or objects, cut them out, and then arrange them in a design.

Illustrating using tablets

Olly Moss is a British artist and graphic designer, known for his detailed illustration work. He gained popularity through his creative reinterpretations of classic movie posters, often using minimalistic designs and clever visual puns to capture the essence of the films he was depicting.

Moss has also created a wide range of other illustration and design projects, including book covers, video game art, and album covers. He has collaborated with a variety of high-profile clients, including Nike, Apple, and the band Radiohead.

Moss has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades for his work, including a BAFTA for his contributions to the video game "Firewatch," and his designs have been featured in exhibitions around the world.

Reflection

I found todays lecture overall enjoyable, I am really enjoying this project as its a bit more creative than the other assignments we have had in semester one.
