I started my final year project by creating an ideation board in Miro. To find a relevant research topic, I asked ChatGPT to identify the next major challenges that might arise within the next five years.
To begin, I focused on topics that genuinely interest me, as I wanted to feel passionate about this year long project.

After reflecting on the society topic, I identified a problem: digital consumption is passive. We doom scroll for hours or watch Netflix without really interacting. I’ve always been a fan of storytelling, and I really wanted to hone in on this idea.
In my initial ideation, I aim to incorporate product design into my final year project and create a physical experience that could actually be used. I want to create something meaningful and unforgettable, rather than focus on a very serious topic such as health or finances. I’m interested in something that portrays real human emotion, which feels lost in some ways, and I would like to bring that back.
As a creative person, I want to combine my creativity with a hands on physical product, while also tying it into a digital experience.

My thought process: What if I want to help someone going through grief, loneliness or memory loss, using a screen feels too cold and impersonal. But what if it was a physical object or a projection, a full experience?
