Successful presenters also manage time well, listen to audience feedback, and act professionally.
Prepare and know your material well. Know exactly what your talking about by doing thorough research before presenting. Practice beforehand to build confidence. During the pitch, focus on your main points and key messages.
Maintain eye contact with your audience to stay engaged. Remember that you have nothing to be ashamed about and its completely normal to feel nervous. Use your adrenaline as a plus to get you through your pitch. Use visual aids to enhance the message, but don't rely on them too heavily.
Be aware of your body language and gestures to convey confidence. Even if this means pacing up and down or using your hands anything is better than standing stiff like a deer in front of headlights. Manage your time effectively, and if distractions arise calmly bring the focus back to your pitch. Lastly, stay enthusiastic and passionate about your topic to keep both yourself and your audience engaged and don’t forget to smile.
