I am really happy with how Memori turned out and how it developed from a rough idea into a full concept. Throughout the project, I was able to explore research, user needs, user flows, wireframes, branding and product mockups, while still keeping the emotional side of the app at the centre.
I am also aware that a lot of my design decisions changed from my initial research and early ideas, but I think that is just part of the design process. As I tested, developed and understood the project more, certain features, layouts and wording had to change so the app made more sense for the user. I do not see this as a negative, as it showed me that I was responding to feedback and allowing the project to grow naturally.
This project has helped me grow a lot as a designer. I learned how important it is to manage the scope of a project, listen to usability feedback and use tools like Auto Layout, components and AI to improve my workflow. There is still room for improvement, and if I were to do the project again, I would plan my time better, test earlier and create a stronger component system from the beginning. I am aware that there are possibly still mistakes, but I feel this is part of UX, without mistakes, we wouldn’t have a career, and we can always strive to improve these small issues.
Overall I feel like Memori has really strengthened my UX thinking and helped me become more confident in creating a product that feels both useful and meaningful.
