Rapid 7 is a corporate worldwide company. I have heard good things about working there and I applied as soon as a role was available. Their talk was very informative and they had past students who came in and explained their journey with Rapid 7. They were offering 5 placements for UX roles.
I then attended their open night were they talk more in depth about what they do. I really loved their office space and how generous they were. It solidified that this is a company i would love to be apart off during my year of placement. I loved how they advocated for women and neurodivergent individuals. For our interview we had 2 weeks to prepare a 15 minute design task. This was quite stressful as we were given a lot of university work on the side. But I learnt so much about it. We were tasked to create a IOT device for a desktop. Before the interview I was very nervous but as I walk through the doors I felt calm. I have since been offered a placement with Rapid 7 and I am extremely happy as I know my UX skills will grow.
