In Todays class we had a look at the next project Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) This has to be aimed at children or students. We also had our Autonomous Vehicle critique.
I got a lot of feedback on my design. For the most part the class enjoyed my colour, design and icons. Some feedback I go was I need to rearrange the navigation bar, add a toggle in to the brightness of the interior lights and make the typeface bigger in areas.
Kyle also agreed that I needed to fix the navigation bar. I also need to make sure the map is the same on each page to make it consistent.
I will now go ahead and implement the changes into my design.
I decided to remove the about screen from my design as I felt it wasn’t needed. I feel I made it too complicated so I went back on my design and took away areas.
I also decided to give my design a brand name and added a tire like pattern behind. I feel this is a positive change and makes the app feel more professional and put together.
I was not happy with the overall appearance of my app and I felt the black consumed the design and felt cheap. I decided to experiment with different tones of grey and what car manufacturers use for advertising a design. Looking back on my moodboards, I took the theme inspiration from Moodboard Two. I feel it looks subtle and easier to understand therefore I will be keeping this change.

After change
I also made the navigation bar less cluttered by removing unneeded areas such as About and Temperature.
