What is Touchpoints?

A touchpoint is any interaction between a customer and a brand, company, or organisation in which the customer comes into contact with the brand's products, services, or messaging is referred to as a touchpoint. Touchpoints can include a variety of interactions, both online and offline, such as visiting a physical store, calling customer service, browsing a website, receiving an email, or seeing a social media advertisement. Businesses can improve customer satisfaction, increase customer loyalty.

Applying my touch points

Below I decided to write a view important touch points for my brand to apply into mockups. I won’t be using them all but will use certain points that I fit my brand for instance signage.

Using figma and photoshop I created mockups of my chosen colour palette and design. I began creating card mockups on figma to get s clear idea of what it would look like. Not making it overly complicated and looking back on brand guidelines as a set of rules.

I really enjoyed creating mockups as it made my bank app come to life. Next I needed to create a strapline that would match with my overall image. I chose “flex your finances”. As its quick and rememberable. The word “Flex” is a popular word with the younger generation as its a meaning of strength and wealth for example “flexing my cash” Is a sentence of confidence.

I also went ahead and used billboard advertising and mockups of how my app may look. This is very early into my design progress so I am unsure if this will be the final result of my apps appearance but it is good to experiment with this before I create my app as its giving me a vision.

I then created digital mockups of how the card would look and decided to use my new design. I found this quite difficult as I wanted to add more shapes into the mockups but it looked too busy and unclean. I found that using a simple colour in the background had a better impact and looked professional.

Daniel also suggested that I make my card mint green and have the shapes that our associated with my logomark in the background of the card. I really like this design but I’m afraid it may look like spots like a Dalmatians fur rather than a flexible shape.

Another change that was mentioned was to take away the waves and make the lines more flexible and free. I really like the outcome of this design and think it suits my brand much better . Sticking with a solid colour scheme makes it look bold and noticeable.

Then I went ahead and rotated the flexible shape vertically but for my personally I feel this is the weakest design and looks too simple.
