This week was critique. We evaluated each others work using Miro.
We were given the task to critique everyone in the classes work. As designers it is important to take criticism or advice as it evolves are designs. Not everyone has the same mindset so it is insightful to see other individuals opinions.
Here are all the notes for Project 01. Most of the comments are positive but didn’t give me much feedback to improve my designs. Im overall pleased with my designs I appreciate that other people saw my vision.
For project 02 I seen some different opinions on my work. I took most of the comments as constructive criticism apart from the blue note as it was criticism without context.I decided to take on my other class mates opinions and changed my design. I really liked the outcome of the five and took away the 3D effect. I rotated the five to 90 degrees and upscaled the hierarchy. Using the five as a form of art in the poster creates a interesting appearance which i feel suits the overall grunge style. I then went ahead and changed the ‘be’ to be smaller which I think looks great.
Im very pleased with my outcome from Projects 01 and Project 02 and appreciate everyones input into my work. If peoples comments have a explanation I am willing to change my design. One things I strongly disagreed with during my time in secondary school was when a teacher give out criticism without it being constructive and I still stand by that rule. I am now going to use the new design for my Universal Declaration of Human Rights poster. I am overall pleased with the notes from this class as its helping me develop as a designer.
